Playdate with Gabriella

Chelsea had a wonderful time when Gabriella came over for a play date during the week.
Gabriella loved dressing up in different outfits and even managed to convince Chelsea to share her Cinderella dress. The girls also pretended to cook in the kitchen and play with the cash register.

Dora's Pirate Adventure!

Chelsea and Kalan had a lovely time watching the Dora Pirate Adventure Show.

With little Dora pirate flags to wave and a Dora light wand to play with the two watch the live stage show with great interest. The story was about Dora, her cousin Diego and Boots the monkey having to travel by land and sea to rescue treasure from the pirate piggies. Chelsea favourite part was the Singing Bridge that sang popular nursery rhymes (Row Row your Boat, Old McDonald and Twinkle Little Star) the wrong way and then you have to teach him to sing the right way. She laughed lots when this part of the show happened.

At intermission the two of them enjoyed eating strawberries and Chelsea caught up with her friend Imogen. The show ended with Dora and her friends finding the treasure (a magic chest containing a Pirate Adventure party). That night Mum was surprised when she didn't talk much about the show but the following evening overheard Chelsea say" I'm Dora and Kalan is Diego. Now where are those pirate piggies?".

Chelsea Gets a Certificate!

After finishing a term of gymnasics Chelsea received an award. This showed all the things she learnt over the term. Chelsea loved praticing gymnastics at home. Quite often she would do the different rolls in the lounge room and teach her friends when she caught up with them. These included an egg, pencil and forward roll. She also used the cot as a balance beam and would try and do a table and a slippery slide position on it. The other day she pretend the cushions were different signs hop, jump and stop. At gymnastics signs are used often so the children can look at the picture and work out what to do.

Kalan climbed in the box of balls and is having his own fun at gymnastics!

Chelsea Loves Gymnastics!

Over the winter Chelsea has been trying out gymnastics. In gymnastics they warm up by doing different actions to a song called Highway Number One. Then some different stretching exercises. This is followed by doing three different rotations bars, trampoline and beam. Chelsea was very proud last week when she got to take her gymnastics medal home. She wore the red medal covered in stickers the rest of the day.

Gabriella's Party

Chelsea was very excited to receive a princess invitation in the mail. It was from her swimming friend Gabriella who was turning four. Chelsea had a great time at the party. She particularly like the playhouse outside. There was lots of party games. These included a donut game, pass the parcel, musical statues and hide and seek. Each child got two turns of pass the parcel and Chelsea managed to unwrap the same party whistle twice. One was a different colour and she decide to give it to Kalan.

After the party games the guests ate homemade pizzas cooked on a wood fire oven and yummy birthday cake!

After watching Gabriella open her presents we then left with a Tinkerbell goodie bag and a balloon to take home!

The party whistles that drove Mum and Dad crazy!

To Mum's surprise Kalan worked out how to blow the party whistle.
